Test files

Files the tester can upload during a test, such as a CSV to import or an image for a profile.

Add files#

• While writing or editing a test: Attach a file. The assistant sees each file's name, type and size (not its contents) and can plan an upload step with it. Files upload when you save the test.
• Over the API: POST /api/v1/tests/{testId}/files with the raw bytes and an X-File-Name header, or JSON with contentBase64; over MCP: add_test_file.

Each file can be up to 25 MB, and a test can have up to 10. A file with the same name replaces the old one.

Use them in steps#

Name the file in a step: "Upload orders-march.csv on the import page". The tester picks it in the page's file chooser.
