Terms of service

Testsy runs the tests you describe against your website or app and shows you what it found. These terms are the agreement between you and RooNow (ABN 48 329 849 768), the Australian business that operates Testsy. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. Your account

You need an account to use Testsy. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 18, or using the account for a business that has authorised you. One person can belong to several workspaces; a workspace's owner is responsible for its members' use.

2. What you may test

Only test websites and apps that you own, or that you have clear permission to test. Testsy drives a real browser or device against the target exactly as a person would, and the owner of that target may treat unauthorised testing as an attack. You must not use Testsy to:

We may suspend or stop runs, or an account, that we reasonably believe break these rules.

3. Plans, runs and payment

A run is one test executed once on one platform (web, Android or iOS). The same test on two platforms is two runs; a test that uses two phones at once counts as two runs. Runs that end as passed, failed or inconclusive count against your allowance. Runs that are blocked by the site under test (a bot wall, a captcha, a paywall) or by a limitation of the tester, runs that stop because of a fault on our side, and runs you stop early do not count.

The free trial includes 10 runs, once, on one project. It does not renew.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance in US dollars and include a number of runs for that billing period, as shown on the pricing page and on your billing page. Unused included runs do not carry over. When your included runs are used up you can buy packs of 50 extra runs at your plan's pack price; a pack is charged once and its runs are good until the end of the billing period in which you bought it.

Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details. Prices exclude any taxes that may apply where you are, which are added at checkout where we are required to collect them. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the billing page; a cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep your plan until then. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; the change applies from your next billing period.

4. Refunds

Monthly fees are not refunded for part of a period once the period has started, except where the law requires it. If Testsy was unavailable or broken on our side for a substantial part of a billing period, tell us and we will credit or refund that period. Packs of extra runs are not refunded once bought, except for runs lost to a fault on our side, which we credit back. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded.

5. What Testsy does and does not promise

Testsy uses AI to plan and perform tests and to judge the result. It shows you its evidence (screenshots, captured values, a recording) so you can check its conclusion. We work hard on accuracy, but an AI tester can misread a page, miss a problem or report one that is not there. A passed run is evidence, not a guarantee that your product has no defects; a failed run is a reason to look, not proof of a defect. You remain responsible for your own release decisions.

Testsy is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law requires. We may change features, limits and the engine behind the service as we improve it.

6. Your content

The tests you write, the files you attach, the credentials you store and the results Testsy produces for you are yours. You give us permission to use them only to provide the service to you (for example, to run the test, to send a confirmation email the test is waiting for, or to show you the report). We do not use your tests or results to train models that serve other customers. Our privacy notice explains what we keep and for how long.

7. Service accounts, mailboxes and numbers

Some tests use a mailbox or phone number that Testsy provides for the run. These exist only for the run, are disposable, and are reused or released afterwards; do not use them for anything other than the test. Messages received at them may be read by the tester to complete the test and are kept with the run's evidence.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising out of Testsy in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data that you could have backed up. We are not responsible for what happens on third-party sites and apps that your tests interact with. You are responsible for the consequences of tests you choose to run.

9. Ending the agreement

You can delete your account at any time from Account settings; this removes your workspaces and their data as described in the privacy notice. We can end or suspend the service for an account that breaks these terms, or on 30 days' notice for any reason, in which case we refund any prepaid fees for the period after the end date.

10. Changes and law

We may update these terms; we will email account owners about changes that matter at least 14 days before they take effect, and the current version is always at this address. Continued use after that date is acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and disputes go to its courts, without affecting any consumer protections you have where you live.
